Consultancy Methods

STEP 1: Quotation And Contract Agreement Phase

  • Determination of design parameters including research of site to confirm solar angles and any other site-specific conditions.
  • Defining the main requirements for Scope of Work (SoW).
  • A Commercial Offer (CO) or “Quotation” is produced based on the SoW and presented to the client.
  • A Contract Agreement (CA) is produced and presented to the Client after his/her approval of the quotation to start the detailed work phases.

STEP 2: Project Primary Kick-Off Meeting Phase

  • The client will bring forward all architectural, MEP and HVAC plans that are approved by the appropriate municipality.
  • The purpose of this step is to gain insight as to what style the customer would like his project to follow such as: Modern, Islamic, Classic, Minimalistic or economic designs. Requirements of the client are also stated.
  • It is preferable that the clients provide us with images or articles that could help get to his/her vision as close as possible.
  • Discussion on the following preference will also take place: floor cladding (e.g. stone type, marble or wooden finishing), ceiling design preference (e.g. false ceiling, gypsum style), materials, HVAC type (e.g. air conditioning central/split unit)
  • Client’s interior contracting budget is also discussed

STEP 3: Key Design Style Revision Phase ‘Mood Board’

  • Agreeing on the style and design the client desires
  • Presentation of ideas that we have understood from the client and modification accordingly (ceiling, floors, furniture, accessories and color scheme)
  • Creation of a shared folder to share images of desired
    designs and other important documentation

STEP 4: 3 dimensional renders and visualization

Creation of design renders and sharing high-quality images to the client

STEP 5: Modification review

  • Revision of the modifications of the chosen concept and on the spot, either on paper or on rendering software and approval from all decision makers.
  • Presentation of final design version thereafter

STEP 6: Production of working drawings

Production of shop drawings and giving instruction to civil contractor on implementations (includes 3 site visits). The drawings allows contractor to also work without interior designer full-time supervision.

STEP 7: Procurement

  • Depending on the client’s budget, and preference for origin of furniture production country, the consultant will search for workshops that can design the furniture, or suitable alternative design will be looked for.
  • Quotations will be gathered by the consultant and presented to the client.
  • Once approved, a payment plan will be agreed upon between the client (represented by the consultant) and the supplier and terms such as down payment will also be discussed.
  • The procurement stage includes (but not limited to) souring of the following: furniture, fabrics, appliances, sanitary-ware, ironmongery and accessories.

STEP 8: Implementation/Supervision

Supervision of installation and finishing works.
